Aaron was always the driving force behind this project. When it seemed like things weren't gonna work out he always found a way to make it happen. He loved a challenge! I spent this last winter traveling around to many of his favorite places, meeting up with friends, and making some new ones along the way. Reef Mac has been on a roll this winter. Freshly off scoring the cover of TW, the Kauai native started the winter off with getting one of the waves of the winter at Off The Wall, and then followed it up with winning the Da Hui BackDoor Shootout in pumping Pipeline surf while winning 30 K. New York's finest, Balaram Stack planted himself on the North Shore for majority of this winter season. Living in front of Pipe for 6 weeks paid off. TWMX crowned Nate Adams the 2011 FMXer of the Year, and he’s graced the newsstand cover of the January 2012 cover in celebration. We checked in with the decorated veteran shortly after his award presentation. [ more ]

What have you been up to, Nate? Well, I’m not riding right now. I broke my arm and dislocated my shoulder about four months ago. I was riding here in my backyard doing a trick that I’ve been doing for years and it just went wrong. I’ve just been rehabbing that and working on my stuff at Deft, which is coming along really well. Our 2012 stuff is coming out and I’m stoked about that. I’ve got some cool collaborations with Dragon and DC too, so that’s been a cool. The goggle with Dragon came out great.
