Josh Sheehan

Josh Sheehan was brought up on a farm in the Australian town of Donnybrook, a place that allowed him ample space to play around with his first motorbike. By the time he was of 16, Josh was totally hooked on riding and progressed from C-grade to A-grade in MX in just a year.

But Josh found himself spending more time riding freestyle with his mates, and began turning his attentions away from racing. In early 2007, Josh made the switch and entered his first freestyle competition, the WA FMX State Championship. Despite crashing out of the event and suffering a broken wrist, Josh knew he had the skills and determination to progress, and was confident that a bright future lay ahead of him.

Proof - if any was needed - of his staggering talent was provided in 2008 when he won the AFMX round during the Brisbane Super X. Josh wiped out the competition, beating the likes of Kain Saul, Cam Sinclair and Levi Sherwood, and blew the crowd away during his run with the biggest Ruler Flip ever performed. The same year, he picked up a ride with the Factory Honda Race Team, and has since been propelled into the spotlight on the international stage.

Josh is still proving to be one of the freshest and biggest talents to emerge from Australia, and his love for adrenaline-inducing performances has earned him a spot on the notorious Nitro Circus crew.

When Josh Sheehan was 17, he had upgraded to a CR250 and entered his first race. He fell in love with the thrill and started racing more and more while playing with ramps on the weekends with mates. By the age of 20, he had worked his way up to A grade in the WA state titles on a KX450.
That year of 2006 he wanted to flip a bike, so learnt to flip a 50cc bike with a friend. This fuelled the fire, and soon after, learnt to flip his KX450 motorbike in a sand quarry near his house. This motivated him to learn some more tricks and enter his first competition early in 2007, the WA FMX State championships. All was going well until he crashed on a massive whip, breaking his wrist.
Josh has come a long ways in a short amount of time medaling in his first X-Games in 2011 along with a 3rd at X-Fighters Madrid. Look for Josh a top the podium thought the world for 2012.
