| THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2012 A nice little review from the crew over at TGR. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2012It’s really hard to go wrong with any Dragon goggles. From the discontinued Mace goggles (my favorite goggles for many years) to the Rogues (the TJ Schiller version super sick!) to the full-size APX goggles, they’re all killer. Well, this season I received a brand new pair of Dragon Gigi Ruf APXs goggles and these quickly moved up into my top spot for Dragon goggles. For the rest click HERE. Check out the first installment of Snowboarder Magazines 12 Days of Christmas featuring Forest Bailey... MONDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2012Danny Davis teams up with Mountain Dew and Burton to build a pipe / park hybrid like you've never seen before... Now this is pretty cool. Way to go Dan. MONDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2012The latest from Lucas Debari. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 07, 2012It has been a wild ride since we left the Falkland Islands over a week ago. Now that we are not puking our brains out and are within the protection of the small bays and inlets, we have had the opportunity to switch our focus to snowboarding. Despite the many distracting endeavors required for us to be here, that is after all why we are here! For the rest click HERE. Gigi Ruf is one of the founding fathers of the Pirates Film Crew. Check out this second installment going through some of the history of the Pirates. Some great shots of ancient Dragon Gear. She has gone back and edited together her full part... You can enjoy it right here. MONDAY, DECEMBER 03, 2012There are but a few riders out there that really make snowboarding look fun. With his childish grin and spontaneous style, Gigi Rüf is surely one of them. Watching the 31 year old Austrian take apart a full-blown berserker line in Alaska often has the same feel good appeal as witnessing him crush some mellow pillows in his Arlberg backyard. Creating a collection of short films starring it’s snow team riders, Dragon has released the first installment of a revealing four-part webisode series, titled Frame of Mind. Featuring Gigi Ruf, Luke Mitrani, Danny Davis and Chris Benchetler, Frame of Mind candidly captures the seldom seen moments that inspire the athletes antics and interests both on and off the mountain. In its premiere episode, follow Gigi, Luke, and snow icon Wolle Nyvelt as they venture to the Advanced Projects X Cabin in Silverton, Colorado, for springtime shredding and goggle testing with Dragon’s product development team. Sitting at 12,000 feet above sea level, this off-the-grid facility is where Dragon athletes find untracked lines all winter long while pushing the limits to help create technologically advanced goggles, including the APX and NFX frames. “Coming out to Silverton to test new product in the blazing sun or chest deep snow is necessary for figuring out how a goggle will perform in rough conditions,” says Gigi. “It’s always a good time when you’re out at the cabin. Tons of fun, deep snow, and good people. It’s the ultimate testing facility.” FRAME OF MIND- Advanced Projects X Cabin- Gigi Ruf, Luke Mitrani, Wolle Nyvelt from DRAGON ALLIANCE on Vimeo. Lucas Debari, Kael Martin, Blake Paul and Alex Yoder are making a movie this winter. Sam Tuor, the man behind the movie "Manifest," about the late Aaron Robinson, will be in tow to film all the antics as the five of them live their snowboarding dreams whilst crammed into a Subaru Loyale. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2012For a little interview on the project click HERE. Forest Bailey won the 2012 Burton Rail Days contest in Japan on Saturday. To say Mammoth got dumped on would be a bit of an understatement... They got straight pounded with snow. From the first pics we saw coming from Mammoth it looked like the typical "White Ribbon of Death" with crappy weather to boot. The following day Mammoth received close to 2 feet of snow making it one of the better openers they have seen. Chris Benchetler snapped this pic of Gabe Taylor just to prove how good it was.... Fingers crossed for more snow... WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2012Dragon shreds Blake Paul and Alex Yoder made a trek down to South America this past Summer to see if they could get some POW... TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2012Kalen has been ripping up the Utah Backcountry and this shot just goes to prove it. Kalen is seen here on the cover of the October issue of Powder Magazine... Congrats Kalen..!!! TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 04, 2012The Givin Video premier of "Too" went down last week in Laguna Beach, CA. Check out what Snowboarder Magazine had to say in regards to Forest Bailey's 2 song ender... WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2012Speaking of ending segments, Forest Bailey finally put together the video part of his life. I’ve always been a huge advocate of Forest, and not necessarily because of his innate natural ability on a board. He’s humble, incredibly genuine, and he epitomizes what I believe a professional snowboarder should represent, both on and off the hill. Well, his part couldn’t contrast his mellow persona any more that it does. Forest not only steps to some of the gnarliest street shit I’ve seen in a long time, but he also earns his keep in the pow. Back seven Japans on backcountry jumps, a knuckledraggin’ session on the summit of a mountain, rail-to-rail transfers, and a ridiculous ender/ender that left most people in the theater speechless when the credits started rolling. -T Bird, Snowboarder Magazine Nimbus Independent has just dropped there trailer for the 2012 season.
