After nearly 10 down days in a row, the Billabong Rio Pro has wrapped. With tons of Brazilians flying everywhere, Mick Fanning and Ace Buchan still managed to crush their way through a few heats and pull in some solid results. Mick, who now sits in third overall, made his way to the Semi-Finals before taking a loss to eventual winner, Jordy Smith.


Mick wasn't the only one who made it through a few rounds, and Brazil saw Ace pull in an equal 5th and his best result of the year. Whether he should have lost to Medina is another story, but that's an entire debate in itself.

Every year, Shane Dorian, Reef McIntosh and Keala Kennelly catch a lot of big waves, the ones that us mere mortals wouldn't even consider touching. Lucky for them, they are recognized for the size of their...waves, and honored at the Billabong XXL Awards. We suspected Shane would clean up for his performance at Jaws, and he did, taking home a check for Tube of the Year and Ride of the Year. Also on the podium was Keala, who grabbed a well deserved Women's Performer of the Year award for her backside barrel at Jaws.

Reef gathered their vagabond team of surfers for their newest film "Anything Sing," a gritty new flick which happens to feature Dragon riders Beau Foster, Mick Fanning and Shane Dorian. Check the boys out as they score perfect barrels in Morocco and Dorian's ender section at Jaws.
