![]() | TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2012 Spencer Obrien wins Dew Cup!!!Read more... The women kicked off the event bright and early at 9 am. There were 6 women in today’s final, but it really was just a battle between two, Spencer O’Brien and Enni Rukajärvi. Enni was in the lead all morning with her run that consisted of an amazing backside 540 indy, to a cab 5. But right at the very end, during the final run of the contest, Spencer O’Brien put down her run of a switch backside 540 to a frontside rodeo 720. It was clearly the winning run, and she took home the win and the Dew cup. I don’t know what it is about the women’s events this weekend, but they sure loved to d... [ more ] |

Height: 1m 74 Weight: 74 kg Stance: 260 cm wide +15 front –12back Sponsors: APO , Nike 6.0, Burn, Pull-In, Dragon, Deeluxe, Shark Biscuit, Level, Ho5 Park Training Ground: Hintertux early season and wherever the park is groomed best for the rest of the season Favorite Wave (or Mountain, track, whatever): Austria and Japan for the pow. Whistler Blackcomb during the summer :). My home in France (Pirénées) for a fun shred with some buddies. Favorite trick: Frontside 180 and Switch backside 9 Inspirations: I take inspiration from many different things. Snowboarding videos, fellow shredders, friend, family, TV, different sports, partying… because for me everything is good for learning and the small details can mean a lot. Gerome has long time been recognised as one of the best French riders, but in the last couple of seasons he has cemented his place as a big name European shredder. With video parts in the Pirates movies, winning TTR events and having pro model boards and boots, Gerome is fast being recognised as one of the strongest talents to emerge from France. AKA: CoinCoin DOB: 11 February 1985 Born: France Resides: Tarbes in Pirénées , FR Hobbies: Family, Friends, Motocross, Tennis, watch a series Favorite Quote: What does not kill me makes me stronger One of Gerome’s biggest influences was his big brother who told him on his first day on the hill “one day you’ll be pro.” Gerome was already into motor-x and had plenty of experience in the air and it wasn’t long before the transition from jumping the bike transferred to the board. The goal was never to become pro, more just to enjoy days on the hill with his brother and friends. At the age of 18 Gerome decided that snowboarding was the career that he wanted to pursue and pushed super hard at training and took any opportunity to film. Now Gerome is getting to film with the Pirate’s and travel the world. |
