Hailing from Melbourne beach (where he hones his skills at ultra competitive Sebastian Inlet on a regular basis) with the support of his parents and four siblings (who all surf together) has allowed Luke’s surfing to progress to a level of maturity rarely seen in kids his age. A proper bottom turn is not often found in the Menehune division. Luke, however, already has that going for him. That, and the drive to surf, “because it’s fun” and “I get to hang with my family on the beach all day.”
Two very good reasons indeed.

Watch out for this guy, both now and in the future. If his competitive track record is any indication, that shouldn’t be difficult. Simply look to the finals of any major amateur surf contest on the East Coast and more often than not, Luke will be  right there.
